What is Xerocon?
Xerocon is an annual accounting technology conference organized by Xero, which inspires accountants and bookkeepers to lead the way in a new era of cloud solutions for small businesses. Xerocon is unlike any other conference and is labelled as the “Glastonbury for accountants”, it provides accountants and bookkeepers who use Xero all across the UK, Europe, and South Africa with an opportunity to catch up and share achievements, as well as to learn more about the latest features and tools.
How the day planned out:
#TeamSAS enjoyed visiting Tobacco Docks in London for day one of the annual Xerocon conference. Xerocon outlined current trends in the industry and upcoming changes such as MTD(making tax digital) and highlighting how Xero is in constant dialogue with HMRC to make sure things run smoothly when processing returns and the move towards sustainability and flexible working.
The day was hosted by Sue Perkins from The Great British Bake Off and keynote speakers including Deborah Meaden from Dragons Den who spoke about how businesses can put their foot in the door to be green and sustainable.
The after-party was hosted on the Thames just down from Tower Bridge at Old Billingsgate, where SAS soon realised why Xerocon got the name for themselves as “Glastonbury for Accountants”, where there were free-flowing drinks, street food vendors, live music, and entertainers, a great end to the first day of Xerocon.
